What we do

How we evaluate tools
- Root removal first. A weeder that snaps roots off is worse than useless — the weed just returns. Whole-root removal is our number one criterion.
- Ergonomics. Can you use it without wrecking your back or knees? Stand-up reach, weight, and grip all count.
- Build quality. Materials, durability, and how well a tool holds up over seasons of use.
- Real-world fit. The right tool depends on your soil, your yard, and your body. We say who each tool is — and isn't — for.
- Value. Not just price, but how long a tool lasts and how much work it saves.
